Epilogue

I finally managed to convince my sloth to complete this resolute epic.

Just a recap:
1. Eat less shit and stop emulating the habits of a pig
2. Resurrect the lost art of sleeping early
3. Kill the P word.. synonymous with undeserving delay (and impunctuality).
4. Get the heck out of here (more often at least).

New definitions:
5. My definition of a good kid and a good person. (Learning spirit and Decisiveness)

Another few:
6. We actually have a king!... And the fourth branch of authority is a disturbing pressure cooker.

7. There is no such thing as facts.. It only depends on how persuasive someone is at getting us to believe his/her claims, and how successful some other ppl are at refuting these claims. (Laws of Nature are undoubtedly the most "factual" ones but I still believe that these Laws fall under this new definition).. Ironically, my claim about facts falls under its own claim too.

8. Im wasting too much time. Going out is becoming a chore and equivalent to shaking the money tree vigorously. Im gonna give part-time tuition. And become a more useful person. And probably become more reclusive..

---------------------------------------------------------------
Justification for the resolutions are really quite self-explanatory. Eating less shit, becoming less piggy, killing of P and sleeping early are pretty much on the route of being a better person, just that it is a lot more helpful to be specific and improve step-by-step. In this case, it is probably four steps at a time, but it can be done. And btw, travel is really impt. It opens one's eyes to the shit and beauty of the world (sometimes even simultaneously.. shitty beauty?!), allows us to cherish whatever we have, cosmopolitan spirit.. Learning spirit.. New cultures (the orgasmic pair of food and music), exposure to new beliefs so as to enhance ours. And oil prices are on the rise (I dun foresee it going down at all).. Global warming is flooding and heating the wrong places.. Basically, there are too many reasons to drive ppl to travel. Popular culture (I scorn its stupidity half the time) is one of them but those are for the wrong reasons. I believe the ones I quoted above are less superficial and more convincing.

Learning spirit and decisiveness is really important to the wellness of one. Replies like "Anything..", "Whatever..", basically are lazy replies which implies lack of thought and decisiveness, and probably even the lack courage to impose one's decision. Much as everyone, including myself, uses such frivolous replies at one time or another (mainly due to laziness), excessive use makes it irritating. Also, my personal observation is that most ppl who I find are successful, or on the route to success, possess both these attributes. So work on it... And kids nowadays really need these qualities. They aren't learning the rite things, the rite way, or from the rite persons.

The recently added resolutions are more touchy, but Im still gonna harp on it anyway. Pt 6 is true (who am I to say what is true, especially with Pt 7 coming up, but that is my two cents' worth). Jaya probably believes that too. And there are many deceiving entities around, so dun plainly believe whatever is presented. Just look at the American election results vs pundits' bets..

Pt 7 is pretty much explained on its own. I cant recall what brought me to this theory. Maybe it was the result of higher learning? Or the plethora of academic debate.. Moreover, after the deluge of readings, I have realised that we are still an immature civilisation (We dun even know how to utilise and live well with our environment for goodness sake!).. Such irritants just affirm my pt.

Lastly, I really am wasting too much time. My constant binges and late night out sicken me. Social life is important and has never lost its imptance but I believe I am overdoing it one time too many. Time has a new definition now and the axiom "Time is Money" has gotta make sense sometimes soon ie now.. Much as this mercenary axiom is defeating my purpose of life, (it is truly a waste of life to live for work), I am seeking to pave a better path for the future, then when things are settled, the true meaning of life can enter the picture. Basically, suffer now, enjoy later. No one is getting any younger, and ageism is forever existent, so I guess the rationale is clear.

Ok I believe I have imparted enough of my philosophy (be it resurrected or newborn beliefs).. We will see again in 365 days, (no, 366 days.. it's a leap year this 2008) and along the way, how progress has progressed. All the best to my readers' resolutions too..

Hey man, I thought your resolution was only less binges and junk food, due to your post in 291208(oh why am I using NS-date-writing-style here?! Yucks. Lol.) Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised to note that you have more resolutions(and much more elaborated ones) in place. Which is good. Damn. The cynic in you really needs some relief eh? Heh.

Ok, let me do an analysis of your resolutions point by point. Based on my own opinions.

1.What's up with the metaphor of the pig? Don't forget you are born in the year of the tiger. So be loyal to the "animal" in you. Lol. Jk. But still, I get what you mean. Yeah, time for some self control eh? It's good to think this way. But you know, old habits are hard to kill. So maybe you should create new habits? Like binging more on healthy food instead? That means, less junk, more funk(ok whatever that is lol, u get the idea)?

2.I like how you used the word "resurrect". Are you some necromancer or something? Cos there's some gothic element here. Lol. Yeah, I guess sleeping early is indeed a long lost art, especially among us youth(YES WE ARE STILL!) in this aging world, right? But still that doesn't mean you can't paint pictures while you sleep. So that's art for you too. :)

3.This point caught me. What's the P word? If it's penis, don't kill it. HAHAHA. Ok, but what's it anyway? Procrastination? Is that correct? Ok if so, gear up in your favourite armour and go do your thang man!!

4.It's probably hard to get out of the virtual world completely. I mean it's just irrelevant, inevitable, and simply irresponsible! How dare you leave behind a bunch of your loyal blog readers and just pack your bags just because you think you want to be real? Who are you kidding! HAHA. But ok, I get what you mean. Less virtual, get real.

5.I agree with you on this good kid and good person. But is there any real definitions to these 2 anyway. But still, learning spirit should be coupled with the never-say-die attitude, and decisiveness, yeah man, that makes you less-animal(your metaphor) and more-humane? Haha. You make a leader out of you ultimately. :)

6.What's this anyway? I have no idea. Who's the king? Rice cooker? What's so disturbing about it? Lol. Update me on this point please.

7.I would say I agree with you on this partially. Cos who am I to say what's facts or what's not anyway? But still, I cling on the word "BELIEVE", so yeah.

8.It's good to spend more time with your teddy at home. Just don't cage yourself ok? Going out doesn't necessarily mean more spending(except for the transport cost). Other than that, you can do something useful. Like going out just for the sake of going out?! Wahaha. Jk. But then, you can always choose to do a pole dance on the money tree instead. Or do some bollywood dance behind. =P

"Time is money" and "suffer now, enjoy later". I'm surprised these 2 maxims are still valid! Yeah, can't believe we have to look at retrospectives and stick to the traditional thoughts sometimes right?

8 resolutions for 2008. Nice ones coming from you. Good luck on all that. Just don't be over ambitious k. Take it easy dude. =D

Haha.. Do I really sound so cynical? I hope not. Maybe just the "bitchy" side. But I dun say such things for fun, there is justification to it (at least I think I have).. And btw really glad tt u bother to analyse. I believe u will benefit from it too :P

Piggish: lazy (not so serious anymore), loves to slp (still in desperate lack of it), procrastinator (getting better but still inherent), untidy (permanently rooted) and fat (doing a good job of making tt come true).
I do believe more tiger qualities are showing along the way. Im a little surprised at some of the changes, but tt waits to be seen la. Ya Im binging more on healthy food now for real. Less junk more funk haha, they rhyme..

Haha much as I love to paint pics when I slp, its precisely this reason y Im losing slp, thus better to slp early. Maybe it will help. I used the words "resurrect" and "art" rather loosely, but glad that u justified it for me haha

Ya its procrastination.. Ew..I din think biologically at all. And I dun believe in "sibling" rivalry.

Nah I dun take offense with the virtual world so much. Its just that I wanna see the world for real. Make my presence, and the world's presence felt in each other's hearts.

Haha ya "good" is used too loosely such that definitions are needed. However, I believe that with these two qualities inherent in a person, other qualities of "good" will entail and come along.

Haha pt 6 is touchy. Its pretty hard to explain the pressure cooker. And I will probably go bankrupt if I go around saying the king (he-who-shalt-not-be-named).. U see his name often and he is saying a lot of prophetic statements.

I believe that if u still cling on to the word "believe", then u r more or less still on my side..

Haha I wont cage myself up at home dun worry. Even if I want to, mystical forces will drag me out. Just that I wanna utilise time better, and it may mean more stay-homes.

Ya I wont stress myself or watever. Things are looking up. All the best for u too Chao!!
